Networking Solutions

I first started doing networks unprofessionally as a hobby back in 1986. Two close friends of mine gathered up the parts for a Intel 286 desktop system and we put it together and created a Dial-Up BBS called "Storm Mountain" based on the popular WWIV platform. While the unit was hosted under the desk of one of my friends fathers drafting tables at his company in Pomona California. My involvement was completely tasked to coding in C++ making heavy modifications to the out of box software via it's source code distribution. We hosted a wide variety of network forum topics from Usenet and FidoNet which lead to me creating our own FTN Los Angeles based private network called "DolphinNet". My experiences from then and into todays networking has been with many different types of network infrastructures and hardware that began professionally in 1990 while working for Hewlett Packard in Vancouver Washington.
